I have been working with Dave from Arbutus Hardwood for many years now and can not say enough good things. I am a Contractor/ Red Seal Carpenter and have had a few Jobs that have had hurdles to overcome one such job had hardwood at 2 different heights and Dave was able to come up with a solution to blend the floors to create a seamless look! Our first exposure to Dave Cunnings' hardwood craft was in 1992, when we worked with him to install and finish approximately 2,500 sq ft of white oak flooring in a new country house. The material used was 2 1/4” x 3/4” solid white oak. The finish was a water based , low VOC , super durable urethane finish. The result was a very elegant , aesthetically pleasing , non-allergenic , and highly valuable flooring that would last for many decades, and as a solid wood through out, could be refinished up to 4x in the future.

I consulted Dave at Arbutus to do a complete install of vinyl plank flooring in my basement and and a complete onsite install and finish of white oak hardwood on my main floor. A key for me was a short time frame to complete the work to make my move in date. Dave showed up and gave me professional advice as to what was involved in making the job happen in a tight time frame. He and his crew showed up on time did a fantastic job, gave great advice on materials stain color choices. He kept me updated on progress so I could coordinate my move in and worked with me to make sure that happened. In the end I was able to secure my move in seamlessly. Dave's quote was as we discussed with no hidden fees which was also important for me to stay on budget.
